WHAT IS TAPIR?

One needs to find out what is the temperature and pressure at the airport prior aircraft takeoff in order to do a flight planning. This is called a forecasting action which requires a seamless application like TAPIR.

All historical and current data are from METAR archives available from Iowa Environmental Mesonet website.
Data is synced from the real-time ingest every 10 minutes.

Date and time is standardized in UTC, the airport weather temperature is in degree Celsius and the pressure data obtained from altimeter is a unit of hectopascal (hPa).

Additionally, TAPIR has rudimentary list of interactive charts and also enables you to download the final results with charts included.

These downloaded data can be access in Microsoft Excel, any popular data science and business intelligence systems such as Tableau Software and Microsoft Power BI for further analysis purposes.

WHY TAPIR?

TAPIR is a free web app and tailor-made specifically for aircraft performance engineer and alike which developed using Machine Learning (ML) algorithm. It offers time-savings initiative and optimizing the generation of weather data using ML.

The web app still has some room for improvement such as having a reactive charts, data input and/or tables will help illustrate a better understanding of the output or result achieved.
